OpenMOLE release : the first software platform for complex systems models exploration
In partnership with the DREAM project, the ISC-PIF has developed OpenMOLE, a platform designed for complex systems models explorations. Thanks to its "user-friendly" interface, OpenMOLE provides generic services to simply develop distributed scientific algorithms.

"Pulseweb" Project: Tracking the Food Crisis via Online News
December 2011
Pulseweb is a multi-partner project involving the ISC-PIF & IFRIS which purpose is to analyze thousands of news items related to food security issues in French language press. This project was supported by the United Nations Global Pulse initiative. On December 8th 2011, the UN unveiled initial findings from research projects (including Pulseweb) on "Big Data" for Development.

KEOPS2: expedition in the Furious Fifties' heart
October - December 2011
Fifty scientists went aboard the research vessel Marion Dufresne. Destination: The Kerguelen islands. Their goal: To understand why the oceanic CO2 pump in the Southern Ocean is not running at full capacity. To answer this question they've explored for two months the complex mechanisms that transport carbon from the atmosphere to the ocean floor.
