The People at the Heart of the Institute

The Paris Île-de-France Complex Systems Institute (ISC-PIF) brings together researchers from different disciplines who wish to work together on complex systems. Veritable hub of a network that includes all the academic and private actors involved in the science of complex systems, the ISC has established new ties across the boundaries of laboratories and R&D teams.

The Institute’s premises are a meeting place for all these actors: resident scholars at the Institute, researchers from partner organizations, visiting researchers, PhD students... The ISC-PIF’s doors are open to any scientist who wishes to learn about and discuss issues in complex systems.

You will find several pages on our website dedicated to these actors...

The committees of the ISC-PIF

Several committees (administration, management, scientific) are involved in the management of the Institute and the shaping of its scientific policy.

Researchers at the ISC-PIF

The Institute welcomes postdoctoral researchers within its walls. Working on European or ANR projects, or supported by regional financing, these researchers organize scientific events at the Institute.

The Complex Systems community

Any researcher working on complex systems can appear in the regional Who's Who of the community of complex systems.

Staff

The daily management of the ISC-PIF is ensured by a scientific and administrative team at the service of ISC-PIF members.

Students

Numerous PhD students have already chosen to focus on complex systems. Many of these future researchers are already involved in the life of the Institute.

Visitors

At the initiative of researchers from the ISC-PIF or the most active members of the Paris complex systems network, leading French and foreign researchers are invited to work for short stays at the Institute.
